Looking for something fun for your kids and their friends? Want to have a birthday party that kids will never forget? Portsmouth Aikido is happy to host birthday parties and group classes for kids ages 5-15.
The cost is $150/hour for groups of up to 12 kids. Groups of up to 20 can be accommodated for an additional fee of $50. A typical event runs 90 minutes, and we're happy to customize based on your needs. We set up the tables in the lounge, supervise group activities in the dojo, and clean up after you’re done.
Here's what you can expect:
Introductory Aikido Class (60 minutes in the Dojo):
Warm-ups (10 min.)
Animal walks and conditioning (10 min.)
Basic back falls (10 min.)
Paired techniques (20 min.)
Game time! (10 min.)
Cake and Presents (30 minutes in the Lounge):
Low tables and tablecloths provided for kids
Parents provide food, cake, drinks, etc.
Plenty of space for parents to sit on couches and chairs
Time to open presents if desired
Additional Fun Time (30 minutes with Options Below):
Shikko bolwing (game of dodging yoga balls while knee walking)
Samurai sword game (practice dodging cuts with a pool noodle)
Freeplay (supervised tag, run-around time, or other games)
